Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has described his recent visit to Pakistan as highly productive, saying that constructive consultations were held with Pakistani officials on regional and international developments.

Speaking to Iranian media upon arrival in Moscow, Araghchi said the discussions in Islamabad were positive and focused on reviewing past events and conditions under which Iran–US dialogue could potentially continue.

He added that the visit provided an opportunity for both sides to assess sensitive regional issues and exchange views on evolving diplomatic scenarios.

Araghchi also confirmed that he is scheduled to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin, describing the meeting as an important opportunity to review ongoing regional conflict developments and strengthen coordination between Tehran and Moscow.

The Iranian foreign minister emphasised that cooperation between Iran and Russia remains crucial for addressing both regional and global challenges, and that regular consultations will continue.

During his visit to Pakistan, Araghchi also met senior civil and military leadership, where discussions reportedly included regional security, diplomatic engagement, and maritime stability issues, particularly concerning the Strait of Hormuz.

He noted that Iran and Oman also held discussions during his regional tour regarding maritime security, stressing that coordination among coastal states of the Strait of Hormuz is essential due to its importance for global energy transportation.

Araghchi further said that Iran and Oman share a high level of understanding and have agreed to continue expert-level consultations on mutual concerns.

According to him, cooperation between neighbouring coastal countries is a natural necessity to safeguard shared interests, especially at a time when maritime security has become a global priority.

Officials say Iran is continuing diplomatic engagement across multiple regional capitals as part of efforts to manage tensions and explore pathways for dialogue.
